WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us. When you fill in a contact or enquiry form (on our website or through social media lead forms) we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any information you include about your project.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect standard analytics data such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your general location (city or region, not your exact address), and the type of device and browser you use. This is collected using cookies and similar tracking tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide quotes or assessments
- carry out and manage work you engage us for
- understand how our website is used, so we can improve it
- measure and improve our advertising
We only use your information for the purposes it was collected for, or closely related purposes.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We don't sell your information. We share it only where needed to run our business:
- Google (Google Analytics): website usage data, to help us understand and improve the site
- Meta / Facebook: where you interact with our ads or lead forms, to measure and improve our advertising
- Service providers who help us operate (for example, our website host), bound to keep your information secure
Some of these providers are based overseas, which means your information may be stored on servers outside New Zealand.
HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT IT
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and to prevent unauthorised access. We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and to meet our legal and business record-keeping obligations, after which we remove it.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it. To do either, email hello@alpsgroup.co.nz and we'll respond as required by law.
